Choose a Palette
Wear Palettes is an inspirational place for personal style. It is based on colour analysis also known as skin tone colour matching. In this process clothing colour is found and makeup to match a person's complexion, eye colour and hair colour. It is often used as an aid to wardrobe planning and style consulting.
Colour analysis is the process of determining the colours that best suit an individual's natural colouring. There are several means of analysing personal colouring. The most well-known is "seasonal" colour analysis, which places individual colouring into four general categories: Winter, spring, summer and autumn. Some signs of warm colouring are red or golden hair, golden brown eyes and golden undertones to the skin.
Another colour analysis system attempted to classify individual colouring into "morning," "noon" and "sunset" palettes. There is evidence the colours a person wears can affect how others perceive him or her; red and pink are thought to signal sexual attractiveness, particularly when worn by women. Dark colours like black or navy may convey authority or simply make the wearer seem less approachable. Unflattering colours may make a person look pale, for instance, or draw attention to such flaws as wrinkles or uneven skin tone. Flattering colours are thought to have the opposite effect.
